JSB SUMMER AUDITIONS 2025

Classical and Contemporary Workshop

The Classical and Contemporary Workshop at Jacqueline’s School of Ballet is a fantastic opportunity for male and female dancers aged 12 and older who wish to expand their skills in both classical ballet and modern/contemporary dance. The program runs from June 9 – 20, 2025 and includes a variety of exciting opportunities. This intensive is an excellent preparation for ballet competitions, and it offers a unique chance to work on both classical and contemporary repertoire. The program culminates in a performance showcase that gives students the opportunity to demonstrate their skills.

Summer Intensive Workshop

The JSB Summer Intensive Workshop offers dancers a unique opportunity to explore a variety of dance styles while continuing to focus on the development of proper technique and core strength. This fun and enriching program provides young dancers the chance to work with the artistic staff and dancers of Utah Metropolitan Ballet, JSB faculty, and nationally acclaimed guest teachers.

Utah Metropolitan Ballet II 

Advanced Students 12 years and up. Students selected will be given further opportunities to grow and progress in a company atmosphere. Dancers will have the unique opportunity of learning repertoire, working with choreographers and master teachers. The students will be involved in various performing opportunities including all of Utah Metropolitan Ballet productions. 

Contemporary Company

With training rooted in classical ballet, select advanced students demonstrating talent for contemporary dance, will be able to refine their skills in modern dance. Through weekly classes, students will study specific techniques, including, Limon, Graham and Horton technique, to help them become more versatile in the professional industry. 
 

JSB Professional Division Track

This group of students is invited to the Professional Division by the JSB staff to concentrate on perfecting technique and developing artistry through intensive instruction. The Professional division is designed for the serious student, who may have the potential to pursue a professional career in ballet. Dancers must be 8 years old by September 1, 2024.
