Summer Programs Policies & Enrollment Agreement

By enrolling in any Jacqueline’s School of Ballet (JSB) Summer Intensive or Workshop program, the dancer and parent/guardian acknowledge and agree to the following policies and terms.

1. Enrollment & Placement

  • Enrollment is accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and is subject to availability.
  • JSB reserves the right to limit enrollment in all programs, divisions, and levels to ensure appropriate class size, safety, and instructional quality.
  • Current JSB students do not need to audition and will enroll according to faculty placement recommendations based on their current class level.
  • Outside students are required to audition for placement. JSB faculty reserves the right to determine final placement for all dancers.
  • JSB reserves the right to move a dancer to a different level or division if deemed necessary for the dancer’s safety or educational benefit.

2. Registration & Enrollment Commitment

  • Dancers must select all desired weeks at the time of registration.
  • No changes, drops, substitutions, or transfers of weeks are permitted once enrollment is submitted.
  • Enrollment is considered complete only after payment is received or a payment plan is approved.

3. Tuition & Payment Options

  • Tuition rates are listed on the Summer Intensive program page and vary by program and division.
  • Families may choose to:
    • Pay tuition in full, or
    • Enroll in an approved monthly payment plan.
  • Tuition and fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, except as outlined in the Withdrawal Policy below or in the event of program cancellation by JSB.

4. Payment Plans & Auto-Draft Authorization

  • Payment plans are available for select programs and must be approved at registration.
  • All payment plan balances are automatically charged on the 1st of each month.
  • Payments will be charged to the credit card or payment method on file.
  • Families are responsible for ensuring valid payment information is maintained at all times.

Late Payments

  • A late fee of $35 will be assessed for any payment not successfully processed within 5 days of the scheduled draft date.
  • Accounts with overdue balances may result in suspension from classes until the account is brought current.

5. Early Bird Discount Policy

  • JSB offers one discount option only: an Early Bird Pay-in-Full Discount.

  • Early Bird discounts of 5% apply only to tuition paid in full before April 20, 2026.

  • Early Bird discounts are not valid on payment plans.

  • Discounted tuition is non-refundable and non-transferable.

6. Attendance & Missed Classes

  • No refunds, credits, or make-up classes are provided for missed classes due to illness, injury (without documentation), travel, personal scheduling conflicts, or weather.
  • Dancers are expected to attend all scheduled classes and rehearsals.

7. Withdrawal Policy

  • Families may withdraw a dancer from the program only for medical reasons with a doctor’s note.
  • Partial refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis and require documentation from a licensed medical professional.
  • Withdrawal for any other reason does not release the family from financial responsibility for tuition owed.

8. Program Schedule Changes

  • JSB reserves the right to adjust class schedules, faculty, class offerings, and program content as needed.

  • No tuition adjustments will be made due to schedule or faculty changes.

9. Dress Code & Conduct

  • Dancers must adhere to the JSB dress code and professional standards of behavior.

  • Dress code details will be provided upon enrollment.

  • JSB reserves the right to dismiss a dancer for unsafe behavior, repeated disruption, or failure to follow studio policies. No refund will be issued in such cases.

10. Injury, Health & Liability Waiver

  • Dancers participate at their own risk.
  • JSB is not responsible for injuries sustained during classes, rehearsals, or performances.
  • Parents/guardians confirm the dancer is physically able to participate in an intensive dance program.

11. Photography & Media Release

  • JSB reserves the right to photograph and video participants for educational, promotional, and archival purposes.

  • Enrollment constitutes permission for JSB to use images and video of the dancer unless a written opt-out request is submitted prior to program start.

12. Agreement Acknowledgment

By enrolling in a JSB Summer Intensive program, the parent/guardian and dancer acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to all policies and terms outlined above.
