NUTCRACKER AUDITIONS

UMB is looking to cast dancers ages 8 – 18.  Dancers do not need to wear dance clothing to be measured. Please note that pre-registration ends September 28th.

Ages 5–6 (JSB students only):

Our youngest JSB dancers may pre-register to be considered for a role. (Dancers will not need to audition.)

Please note: participation at this age is not guaranteed. This opportunity is only for JSB students (not open to dancers from other schools).

Other Dancers/Ages:

Any JSB dancer in Level 1 or higher is eligible to audition, regardless of age.

  • Must be ages 8–18 to audition.

  • Need at least 1 year of ballet experience.

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of ballet experience.

Dancers in Utah Metropolitan Ballet II must also pre-register.

Not every student that auditions will be selected. Dancers will be judged according to height and ability for the roles needed. We encourage all students to audition as it will help them to know what to expect as they audition for things throughout their dance life.
